Club Membership Information
The Mother Lode Gun Club is open to membership to United States citizens who:
- do not belong to any subversive group,
- have never been convicted of a felony, and
- have a current membership in the National Rifle Association.
The club has a self imposed membership limit of 850 members. We are currently at maximum capacity and there is a waiting list for new members. If you want to apply and be placed on the waiting list, please send in your application but without the membership payment. You will be contacted when your name comes up and you will then be required to come to one of the general monthly membership meetings, with your payment, to be approved and voted into membership. The waiting time for new members is currently running about one year. Once your name is on the list, we can give you a better idea of how long it will be before you will be able to join the club.
To apply for Club membership, complete the membership application form, obtain a co-signature from a current Club member, submit the application with payment by mail or in-person to the Club. If membership will begin between January 1 and June 30, the payment amount is $310 (i.e., a one-time initiation fee of $200, plus the first year's dues of $100, plus a one-time* $10 gate card activation fee). If membership will begin after June 30, the payment amount is $260 (i.e., a one-time initiation fee of $200, plus six months dues of $50, plus the one-time* $10 gate card activation fee). Members' spouses and children under the age of 18 may join the Club as “Associate Members” at lower rates. If questions arise, you can call MLGC and leave a message at (209) 984-4160.
*If your gate card is lost or is damaged to the point where it doesn't work, there will be an addtional $25 fee for a replacement card.

Membership renewals are on a calander basis with all renewals due on January 1st. We try to send out renewal notices with a form to return with your annual membership dues near the end of each year. However, if you don't get the form or have lost the form, then please send in your dues along with your name, address, phone number, email address if you have one, and a copy of your current NRA membership information.
